About Lode Stone Document Consulting

The name Lodestone was adapted from the Middle Ages when sailors used to set their course using magnetised stones, before the use of a compass. A Lodestone that gave guidance and direction to the first sailors, embodies the philosophy of our organisation.

The primary objective of our service offering is to provide guidance and direction to public and private organisations on managing records in any format or media, created or received during the course of its activities. Records Management systems may be interpreted as paper/manual or electronic, and a document may be either paper, image or electronic,

Emmarentia StanderEmmarentia Stander

Emmarentia Stander completed her Marketing Diploma in 1993. She received her National Archives Accreditation in 2002. She has extensive experience in filing having been National Sales Manager for Tidy Files and then on the management team at Optiplan.

Emmarentia started Lode Stone Document Consulting in 2005 in response to a need for filing solutions and not just filing products. Experience had shown Emma, that companies were buying products to organise their filing, without having a comprehensive file plan and file hierarchy in place. The products did not solve the challenge of how information should be organised.

Lode Stone Document Consulting has grown from strength to strength consulting to major companies such as Discovery, NHBRC, as well as to Government Departments including Petroleum Agency SA.

We are a Level Four B-BBEE Contributer and currently in the application and assesment stage of ISET SETA accreditation for our training programmes.
